Scio Central School Receives ACAF Grant for Swim Program

The Allegany County Area Foundation, recently presented a check for $1,500 to the Scio Central School. This grant money will help support a summer swim program for the students attending the Scio Central School.

Cristy McKinley, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, has been working closely with the YMCA and district personnel to set up the Scio summer swim program. This program will promote the development of swimming as a life skill. More information on this program will be provided by the school once the details have been finalized.

The Allegany County Area Foundation holds assets of over 9.4 million dollars. The endowed funds continue to grow in perpetuity to enrich and improve the lives of Allegany County people.
