Our Commitment to Stewardship

The Allegany County Area Foundation is committed to maximizing the impact of every dollar entrusted to us. To support operations, ACAF utilizes approximately 1% of a rolling 20-quarter average of our total funds. This approach provides stable, predictable support for the Foundation’s work while ensuring that the vast majority of donor dollars directly benefit scholarships, grants, and community initiatives.

In addition, select roles and initiatives — such as our work supported through the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation — are funded through external grants, further reducing the administrative burden on our funds and increasing the dollars directed back into the community.
