Deputy Sheriffs Support Shop With A Cop Program

 The department’s annual Beard for Bucks program permits officers to grow beards for hunting season provided they make a donate to the department’s charitable efforts. This year’s BFB program resulted in a recent $1400 gift to the Allegany County Area Foundation’s Shop With A Cop Fund. The accompanying photo shows ACAF Executive Director Bruce Campbell with Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney and officers of the sheriff’s department.

(January 2020) The Allegany County Sheriff’s Department continues its tradition of supporting the local Shop With A Cop program.

“We really appreciate the generosity of the sheriff’s department has shown to the Shop With A Cop program.” Campbell notes, “generosity with resources in making donations like this and generosity with their time participating in the activities the fund supports, like the recent Foster care Christmas Party.”
