**Other:

  1. All Scholarships require a 2.5 cumulative average or equivalent. Official transcripts required within 60 days.
  2. Applications online at www.alleganycountyareafoundation.org  or Patty Oliver 585.365.2319 for further information.
  3. Application deadline is March 1st for all parts required.  Applications mailed to:  Patty Oliver, PO Box 167, Belfast, NY  14711
  4. Some scholarships MAY BE renewable and will be decided upon at the Scholarship Selection meeting.
  5. You may re-apply to all scholarships.
  6. All are need and merit based.
  7. The amounts of certain scholarships may change due to the value of the fund.
  8. Each school district will be awarded one or more Belva Waite Scholarship provided that they have a qualified candidate.
  9. All fund balances are calculated annually. The amount allotted for scholarships is determined at that time and approved by the Board of Directors.
  10. We are a member of Dollars for Scholars and some schools (very few anymore, but Houghton is one) will match awards given to students.  However, students need to get me any required information by the middle of July because matching funds are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  11. Financial information is subject to fluctuation and impacts distribution of funds.
